DAY OF GOLD
January 18, 2017
East Brook School will support the fight against Pediatric Cancer
*Kids who wish to participate should wear GOLD/YELLOW and bring a minimum donation of $3 to school on 1/18.
All money will go directly to Josephine's Garden at Hackensack University Medical Center.
Josephine's Garden Foundation supports pediatric cancer research while honoring the memory of a beautiful, courageous 7 year old who passed away after a year-long battle with a brain tumor. Funds will support research at the Josephine Elle Hartung-Rispoli research lab, the first in house clinical research lab in the Joseph M. Sanzari Children's Hospital and the only one of its kind in the state.
Josephine endured much more in her short life than anyone should have to experience, especially a young child. In September 2010, Josephine was diagnosed with a rare, malignant brain tumor and spent more than 250 days during a 12-month period at the Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital, one of the nation’s Top Children’s Hospitals in the subspecialty of neurology and neurosurgery.
This fund supports the research that is needed to find a cure and save the lives of children.
