HOGWARTS HOLIDAY BOOK FAIRE WAS MAGICAL

Last week, East Brook's little wizards were whisked away on a delightful adventure to Hogwarts School of Magic.  Our Book Fair Chair (Carrie Rauschenberger) transformed our School Entrance so that each student borded the Hogwarts Express via Platform 9 3/4.  In the Media Center, they were awed by floating candles, flying mail and banners for each house of Hogwarts.

Students were given the opportunity to shop the Book Faire during their library periods Wednesday - Friday.  Many parents and students attended the after-school event on Wednesday, and enjoyed a number stations with games and challenges, and a viewing of the movie - Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.

Overall, the Hogwarts Holiday Book Faire was a wonderful event!  Thanks to Carrie's hard work and vision, the support of our volunteers and the participation of our families, we had the largest-selling Book Fair in East Brook's history!

ITS NOT TOO LATE TO SHOP ONLINE

Didn't make it to the Book Faire?  Forgot to send in money with your child?  Simply love the convenience of online shopping?  The Online Shop is still open until the end of the day!

So many children LOVE pizza day, and their families enjoy the convenience. But it takes volunteers to make the program a success.  You can help by serving pizza for one (or many) Thursdays (just a 1-hour commitment)!

SKYDOME PLANETARIUM ASSEMBLY

DECEMBER 14, 2018

*Please note, children will need to take their shoes off and must be wearing socks to enter the SkyDome Planetarium.

We're taking our students on a 45-minute journey through the universe from the comfort and security of our own school. The portable, inflatable SkyDome planetarium will come right to our multi-purpose room and dazzle our budding astronomers as they are taken on a tour of the solar system.

KEEP THE BOX TOPS COMING!

THE NEXT DEADLINE IS THIS FRIDAY, DECEMBER 14

We are collecting Box Tops for our second collection deadline of the yearDuring the last collection period, we earned $272.50 and Mrs. McKenna's class won a movie party with popcorn!  Which class will be the big winner?  Can we collect $300 this time?

Clipping Box Tops is an easy way to help earn cash for our school - we get 10¢ for each one collected!  You can find the pink Box Tops on hundreds of products.

When submitting the box tops, please trim them and either attach them to the collection sheet, or bundle them into 50 in a ziptop bag. You may send them in to your child’s teacher or drop them off in the office. Just be sure to label your child’s classroom teacher on the bag, so we can calculate how many are collected from each class.
