MAY 4th, 2020

TAW 2020

As announced last week, we will be holding a virtual version of Staff Appreciation Week starting today! Our teachers have been amazing throughout our transition to distance learning. Let's show them and the East Brook staff how much we appreciate them!

There will be daily activities students can participate in. We encourage everyone to participate in showing our staff how much we appreciate all that they do. Coloring Sheets for various days are noted below.
As always, feel free to utilize twitter for sharing pictures and tag @eastbrookowls and @eastbrookpto and use #EBTAW2020.

We can't wait to see everyone's creativity next week!

COLORING SHEETS

A big thank you to Tina Guarriello, Staff Appreciation Chair for designing, planning and coordinating the wonderful staff appreciation events!

SHOW OWL PRIDE AND HELP THOSE IN OUR COMMUNITY
Our "OWL In This Together" Yard Sign does both of those things! For $20, you will have a shiny new yard sign to display at your house, and the net proceeds of the sign will be sent to the TriBoro Food Pantry in town. It's a win-win! You are also supporting a great local business who produced the signs, Graphically Speaking. Thank you to Jamie Lewis for always encouraging our OWL PRIDE!
There is a limited number of signs available, so grab yours now! Know someone else that wants one? You don't have to be a member of the PTO to purchase a sign.

Thank you for your Park Ridge Support!

A big thank you to Emma Cassella and Carrie Rauschenberger for initiating and spearheading this effort! Questions? Email them at owlyardsign@gmail.com.

 NO BOARD, NO PTO

As Mr. Stokes expressed in his blast, "The future of East Brook will be paved by the people who step up!"

Due to many board members completing their terms, there are four open positions for next year: Two Co-Presidents, Treasurer and VP of Cultural Affairs. The Board positions need to be filled by June. For description and term, follow this link. Interested? Have questions? Email the PTO Board.

STAYING TOGETHER

We are entering week number 7 of "Remote Learning" at East Brook, and here are some ways we have been staying together:

Homeroom with Mr. Stokes: East Brook students continue to meet with Mr. Stokes Tuesdays and Fridays on zoom (see website for schedule info). On Principals' Day, the children showed their appreciation by holding up each of their colored favorite Principal sign.

Twitter: See what our owls are up to, and share what you are up to! @EastBrookOwls

Classroom Instruction: Students are able to continue their schooling, thanks to our teachers for meeting and  corresponding with their classes online. A very big heartfelt Thank You to all our teachers!! Families, let's not forget to show our appreciation this week!

WebsiteVisit our Remote Learning Help page. The icon below will direct you to the main page.

You do not need to be a PTO member to access this; only the website login is required.  These pages are meant only to serve as help - teachers will continue to correspond the way they have been (via email, Google doc, Schoology, etc).

For the events that were planned for this spring season, we will do our best to keep you informed as things develop. Please visit our Homepage for the latest info.

Everyone, please stay safe and healthy!
