MAY 6 PTO MEETING POSTPONED

Due to the extended closure of all schools in NJ through at least May 15, 2020, the scheduled May 6 PTO Board Election Meeting will be postponed, date to be determined. Elections will likely take on a remote ballot form.

But first, we need nominees.

We have not received any nomination by the April 13 deadline in order to fulfill Article V Sec 1. We will now be accepting nominations until the Board positions can be filled, in accordance with bylaw Article X. The positions need to be filled by June.

TWO CO-PRESIDENTS

The Co-Presidents preside at all meetings of the organization. Supervise, direct, and coordinate work of the PTO. Work directly with the principal to maintain a supportive relationship between the school and the PTO. Oversee and execute communications to members and school community through various communication channels, including our PTO toolkit website.

VICE PRESIDENT OF CULTURAL AFFAIRS

The VP of Cultural Affairs is responsible for cultural programs, specifically the PTO Assembly program. This year, the VP was also responsible for social media communication on twitter.

TREASURER

The treasurer is responsible for receipts of deposits, processing payments and keeping accurate records of receipts and expenditures. The treasurer maintains one general bank account and prepares and presents a budget for the following fiscal year. The treasurer also presents a financial statement at each PTO meeting, works with an auditing committee and notifies membership of the net profit/expense of events.

All members of the board work together to put our children and school first in our decisions and activities in regards to PTO matters.
