Empowering Kids through Taylor Swift (with Miss Racanelli and Miss Manzella)

Calling all Swifties! Each week, we’ll travel through Taylor’s eras while giving kids the opportunity to grow their confidence, empower themselves, and empower one another through Taylor-Swift themed activities. We’ll study Taylor’s lyrics and success, make and swap friendship bracelets, and more- all while enjoying our favorite Taylor Swift music! 

Who: Grades 3-6

When: Tuesdays from 3:20-4:20 (April 9, 23, 30, May 7, 14, 21, June 4, 11)

Where: Room 9

Max enrollment: 12 students per section

 

Storybook Adventures (with Miss Racanelli)

Each week during Storybook Adventures, students will engage with a new fiction storybook. With each new book, students will participate in a wide range of creative activities, from crafts to STEM activities to hands-on adventures! Students will explore exciting new worlds and have afternoons filled with fun and creativity!

Who: Grades K-2

When: Mondays from 3:20-4:20 (April 8, 22, 29, May 6, 13, 20, June 3, 10)

Where: Room 9

Max enrollment: 12 students

 

Dungeons and Dragons (with Mr. Grzybek)

Dungeons and Dragons is a tabletop role-playing game where students will create their own character, go on adventures, take on quests, and battle monsters. Using cooperative teamwork, it takes the whole group with a variety of skills to tackle the world that’s created for them to play, live, and fight in.  What you can do is only limited by the extent of your imagination!

Who: Grades 4-6

When: Thursdays from 3:30-4:30 (April 11, 25, May 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, June 6)

Max enrollment: 10 students

 

Coding and Robotics (with Mrs. Brimigion)

In this engaging and hands-on club, students will explore the fundamentals of coding, gaining an understanding of programming concepts through fun and interactive activities.  They will have the opportunity to bring their ideas to life by creating their own programs and games, fostering creativity and problem-solving skills along the way.  Additionally, students will delve into the fascinating realm of robotics, where they will work with various robots to understand how they function and learn to program them to perform tasks and navigate challenges. 

Who: Grades 2-5

When: Wednesdays from 3:30-4:30 (April 10, 24, May 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, June 5)

Max enrollment: 12 students

 

Legos (with Mr. Hegybeli)

LEGO club encourages children to learn while having fun!  Creativity, problem solving, communication, and teamwork are some of the skills that using LEGOs can teach children.  Join us each week to complete LEGO challenges and tasks! 

Who: Grades K-4

When: Tuesdays (April 9, 23, 30, May 7, 14, 21, June 4 and 11) or Thursdays from 3:30-4:30 (April 11, 25, May 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, June 6)

Introduction to Kid Friendly Websites (with Ms. Omland)

Each week we will discover and enjoy primary grade websites. Some sites we will be using are ABCYA, PebbleGo, IXL, Fun Brain, and Starfall.

Fun with Story Character Friends (with Ms. Omland)

Each week we will enjoy some of my favorite story friends through classic characters such as Frog and Toad, Henry and Mudge, Knight Owl, Amelia Bedelia, Pigeon, and Fly Guy. We will enjoy many read alouds and lots of reader response discussions, fun projects, and best of all the LOVE of Reading!

Kids’ Kitchen (with Mrs. Allen and Ms. Riehl)

Welcome to the Kids’ Kitchen, where fun meets nutrition and mindful living.  Join us on a delicious journey of discovery as we explore the world of wholesome snacks and exciting flavors while incorporating mindful walks into our activities.  Our club is dedicated to promoting healthy eating habits and overall well-being among our young members.  We offer a range of tasty and nutritious snacks that not only tantalize the taste buds but also nourish the body.  From crunchy carrot stick dippers to juicy fruit kebabs, each snack is carefully curated to inspire healthy choices and fuel active lifestyles.  Great taste and good health go hand in hand! 

(All snacks will be peanut and tree nut free)

Who: 1-2 and 3-4

When: Tuesdays (1-2) April 9, 23, 30, May 7, 14, 21, June 4, 11
